2022 Series Points
-
Series points are awarded to members who run as an individual on the correct minimum course length - so everyone needs to run the medium or long course, except for U10s and U12s who can earn points on any course.
-
A scaling factor applies for each age group so that everyone is awarded points based on their amended minutes per kilometre.
-
Your best 5 ADHOC event scores count.
-
Members who do not formally nominate to assist at an event in the season will be ineligible for series awards.
-
Much more information is located here on the OWA page, their system is similar.

Training and Coaching
Read some navigation tips on the OWA website (did you know that John Toomey coined the phrase 'NavDash' in the late 1990s?) and find some more tips in Orienteering Australia's Sprint Orienteering Training Guide.
Most maps will contain uncrossable features. See an article on Forbidden Features in the June 2020 edition of The Australian Orienteer magazine, and test your knowledge with this fun quiz from Orienteering ACT!
Coach John Toomey is holding occasional training sessions for interested members and ADHOC will occasionally hold informal events for coaching and training.
For more information, manually add yourself to the club's mailing list using the form higher on this page, or email the club and ask.
About Us
Albany and Denmark Hinterland Orienteering Club (ADHOC) was formed in 2014 by a group of local enthusiasts with the aim of bringing orienteering to the Great Southern. We have conducted the 'Albany Trail Run' in 2016 and 2017 as our major fund-raising venture for club equipment.
